EDC — Emirates Driving Company — is Abu Dhabi's main driving institute, headquartered in Mussafah. If you searched for "edcad" or "EDC" and landed on the wrong page, this is the short version: edcad.ae is the main website, pay.edcad.ae is the student portal where you book and pay, and elearning.edcad.ae is the theory platform. The three official EDC websites, and which one you need
edcad.ae is EDC's main public website — course information and links, not a student account area. pay.edcad.ae is the student portal: sign in there to register, book courses and tests, pay fees, and see your receipts. elearning.edcad.ae is the theory e-learning platform where the online lectures live. All three belong to the same organisation.
Only ever enter your login or card details on an official edcad.ae domain or in the official EDCAD student app (Apple App Store and Google Play). If a site outside the edcad.ae domain asks for your EDC credentials or card, do not use it.
How to contact EDC
The central contact number is 600 588880. For general questions, email info@edcad.ae; for booking problems, booking@edcad.ae. The EDCAD app is a reliable fallback when the website is busy.
Service hours and counter availability change, especially around public holidays. Confirm current working hours on edcad.ae or by phone before travelling to a branch in person — we deliberately don't publish hours here, because a wrong opening time is worse than none.
Where EDC is, and its branches
EDC's headquarters is in Mussafah Industrial Area (Street 17), Abu Dhabi, near Musaffah Police Station. Because the head office sits in Mussafah, most Abu Dhabi learners spend time there — EDC training, theory and the road test all run in and around the district.
EDC's own course catalogue also lists branches in Al Ain, Madinat Zayed, Ghayathi, Al Mirfa, Al Sila and Delma Island. You choose your branch when you register on the portal.

EDC is not "Emirates Driving Institute" — a common mix-up
Searches for "Emirates Driving School" and "Emirates Driving Institute" often end up looking for EDC, but the names refer to different organisations, and Emirates Driving Institute operates in Dubai rather than Abu Dhabi. If you are getting licensed in Abu Dhabi, EDC (edcad.ae) is the Abu Dhabi institute.
Within Abu Dhabi, EDC's counterpart is Yas Driving Academy (YDA). Both are authorised driving schools offering theory and practical training toward a full Abu Dhabi licence; EDC is the larger and longer-established of the two. Before you register: check you're on the right route
EDC will take payment for whichever route you select; it does not check that the route is the right one for you. Being a complete beginner, holding a foreign licence from an exchange country, or qualifying for Golden Chance changes which EDC stages you owe at all — sometimes by thousands of dirhams.

On Thursday 20 August 2026 EDC's own Google listings showed the Mussafah buildings and Al Ain closing at 22:00 and the mall counters at 23:00 — that is one day's observation, not a weekly schedule. Call 600 588880 before travelling, especially around public holidays.
Where is EDC in Al Wahda Mall?
On the second floor of the Al Wahda Mall extension. It is a service point for registration, file opening and simulator sessions rather than a training campus, and it uses the central number 600 588880. Which EDC branches do not have a published address?
