EDC Login: edcad.ae Student Portal and E-Learning

If you want to book a course or test, pay a fee, or see your receipts and your next step, you need the student portal at pay.edcad.ae. If you want to sit the theory lectures online, you need elearning.edcad.ae. edcad.ae itself is the public website — course information and links, not a student account area.

All three belong to the same organisation, EDC, Abu Dhabi's main driving institute. The confusion is normal: most search results for "edcad login" point at whichever page ranks, not the one you need. Only sign in on official edcad.ae domains or the official EDCAD student app — if a site outside edcad.ae asks for your EDC login or card details, do not use it.

Go to pay.edcad.ae. UAE PASS is the recommended way to sign in and the smoother route. An email-based login also exists under "Other Options", but the portal itself marks it as limited-features, so prefer UAE PASS where you can.

New students register first via Sign Up. Use exactly the name and details on your Emirates ID — mismatched name order or spelling is a common reason a registration stalls before you ever reach a login screen.

Once you are in, you get a student number and a dashboard showing Your Journey: registration, payments and bookings step by step, with your next action highlighted. Receipts sit under Booking History, and the portal has its own Wallet and Refund sections.

elearning.edcad.ae is EDC's theory e-learning platform — the online lectures you work through before the theory test. It is a separate destination from the payment portal, which is why a bookmark saved for one will not get you into the other.

Access to the e-learning course follows the theory course being booked and paid through the portal, so if the e-learning side is not open to you yet, check the payment and booking status of your theory course on pay.edcad.ae first.

If you registered by email and the verification message never arrived, check your spam folder for an edcad.ae sender before registering again — duplicate registrations make the problem harder to unpick. Signing in with UAE PASS instead avoids the email step entirely.

If your details are rejected, compare every field against your Emirates ID: name order, spelling and ID number must match exactly.

The official EDCAD student app is also a reliable fallback when the website is busy.

EDC publishes an official EDCAD student app on the Apple App Store and Google Play. You can book courses and tests and handle payments from your phone with the same account you use on the portal — useful when the website is slow or you are away from a desktop.

The portal will happily take payment for whichever route you select — it does not check that the route is the right one for you. Being a complete beginner, holding a foreign licence from an exchange country, or qualifying for Golden Chance changes which EDC stages you owe at all, sometimes by thousands of dirhams.
