How to Pay EDC Fees Online (edcad.ae)

edcad.ae is the official website of Emirates Driving Company (EDC), the main driving licensing institute in Abu Dhabi, headquartered in Mussafah. pay.edcad.ae is EDC's official online payment portal, and elearning.edcad.ae is its theory e-learning platform. All three belong to the same organisation. EDC trains every license category — light vehicle, motorcycle, heavy vehicle, bus and machinery — plus advanced and desert-driving courses.

Only pay EDC fees through pay.edcad.ae, the official EDCAD student app, or at an EDC service counter. If a website that is not on the edcad.ae domain asks for your card details for EDC fees, do not use it.

Go to pay.edcad.ae and sign in — UAE PASS is the recommended login, and new students register via Sign Up. An email-based "Other Options" login also exists, but the portal itself marks it as limited-features, so UAE PASS is the smoother route. Use the same name and details as your Emirates ID — mismatches are a common reason registrations stall.

Once registered you get a student number and a dashboard showing Your Journey: registration, payments and bookings step by step, with your next action highlighted. You do not pay everything upfront — the portal charges each stage (theory course, theory test, practical package, tests, extra lessons) as you book it. Receipts live under Booking History, and the built-in Wallet and Refund sections handle credits and refund requests.

EDC charges per stage rather than one lump sum. Real student receipts from a 2024–2025 light-vehicle beginner journey show the anatomy: e-learning theory course AED 780, theory test AED 200, practical beginner-standard package AED 2,640, yard test AED 200, and extra practical lessons around AED 130 each — roughly AED 4,000 in EDC fees across the journey, before the traffic file, eye test and any retests. If the verification email never arrives, check your spam folder for an edcad.ae sender before re-registering. If your registration is rejected, compare every field against your Emirates ID — name order, spelling, and ID number must match exactly.
